Marjoram (Origanum Majorana) is a perennial herb that is commonly used in the cooking from France and Italy. Marjoram is similar to Oregano with a more delicate flavor. Marjoram is indigenous to the Mediterranean area and was known to the Greeks and Romans, who looked on it as a symbol of happiness.
Suggested Use: Marjoram is a delicious seasoning for tomato based sauces, olive oil and vinegar salad dressings with anchovies. It compliments Portobella Mushrooms and fresh vegetables such as eggplant particularly well.
