Chervil is a spice that goes well with parsley, tarragon and saffron and these herbs together, are often used for flavoring cream based soups, egg dishes and smoked fish. Chervil has a mild sweet taste, similar to anise. It is used more in cold dishes as heat will tend to reduce its mild flavor, so avoid long cooking.
Generously add to salads just before serving, or use in stews, fish, steamed vegetables, salad dressings, sauces, egg dishes
